Project description:

“Byskovvei Nasjonalpark”- Instant Herlev - København 2004

A temporary exhibition in the suburbs of Copenhagen

“Instant Herlev” invited Nordic artists and architects to deal with the topic of privatized suburban surroundings. 3RW was in charge of creating an exhibition pavilion in a private garden and thereby create a dynamic framework between private and public. The main purpose was to house discussions and a showroom for various events. The project outraged the neighbors’ association by endangering the everyday order of the homogenous area.

The formerly private front garden was redesigned as a small scale public park to invite visitors to the pavilion. Everything was built in a week, using traditional construction-site materials. The threshold to the private terrace was marked with a high curtain made from orange plastic.
