The national directorate of public construction and property Statsbygg recently contracted 3RW for a framework agreement (in Norwegian, “rammeavtale”) regarding the refurbishment of the Bergen-based NHH, one of Europe’s leading business schools. Realized in collaboration with COWI, the project consists in the design of a rehabilitation and rebuilding proposal for the school, as well as room-specific expansion strategies and minor new constructions. The agreement also covers the preparation of diverse feasibility studies, architectural features analyses, and general consulting advice.

Many properties in Statsbygg’s portfolio are granted a conservation status: this is a condition that our office has extensively and comprehensively dealt with over the last two decades. Indeed, 3RW’s previous rehabilitation works create a lineage to NHH, informing our team’s vision for upgraded canteen, offices, library, teaching hall, or social zones of the school.
