We are proud to announce that, together with NORD Architects and ecologist Christian Mong, 3RW arkitekter has won the competition for a new Alzheimer and dementia Village in Oslo, Norway. It is an inclusive project that meets an entire range of needs for people with reduced cognitive ability.
The jury announces: “It is a groundbreaking project that answers the future demands within age – and healthcare. At the same time the project contributes to the coexisting local community”.
The village concept, integrated in a sloping landscape, creates a small community with a range of spatial and landscape qualities. The various buildings will be constructed in sustainable CLT – massive wood.
This is a collaboration with Danish office NORD Architects and ecologist Christian Mong, towards the client Omsorgsbygg Oslo.
