The work on consulting environmental restoration at the shooting range at Vatne took a new turn last week when ponds of salamanders were discovered. Amphibians are rare in Norway, and these precious little friends need good caretaking. The discussion is now on the table whether a salamander hotel and infrastructure must be added to the project description at Vatne.
In addition to environmental restoration and accomodating the amphibians needs, we are developing noise reduction solutions at Vatne for our client The Norwegian Defense Estates Agency.
Vatne is part of the ongoing project series Landscape Healing which was awarded the DOGA Honorary Award earlier this year. The multidisciplinary project was beautifully captured in the documentary with the same name by BAFTA nominated director Richard John Seymour.
