We are very pleased to have received the first prize in the Bopilot Hackathon 24-hours event, with our proposal for a digital platform inspired by Montana, a sustainable housing collaboration between BKK, Sweco and 3RW! The jury of the national online idea competition chose the playful “samdelt” as the winner among dozens of proposals.
Facing the task to create a “digital meeting place that links alternative housing needs and the housing market”, our team developed a concrete and achievable platform inspired by a new sharing culture. This emerged as a desirable answer for the Bopilot’s brief of “working towards a greater diversity of housing models, types and forms, and more innovation in the housing sector”, in order to “strengthen feelings of community” and “facilitate living in climate-smart and sustainable places”. The Montana Mountain Village proposal was used as an example to show possible ways of creating contacts between people curious about new, bettered ways of living through the promotion of sharing habits, as well as encouraging early input from users in the design process.
