Soon we will be able to enjoy the museum’s brand new interiors and updated program with beautiful views over Bergen.
KODE is one of Scandinavia’s largest museums for art, craft, design and music. One year ago 3RW won a competition to transform the interior spaces and program of KODE 1, the first of 5 museums belonging to the art institution.
The project consists in the refurbishment of the ground-floor with a new café and restaurant, an art shop and reception; the first floor with a children’s gallery; the third floor with a new conference room, a library, event space and board-room; and the fourth floor with upgraded offices.
The updated building is set to open to public on May 23rd this year with a ceremony that will be attended by the King himself.
