Alstad barneskole

The Alstad primary school is located southeast of Bodø, about 5 km from the city center. The municipality of Bodø will build a new primary school between the current school and the secondary school.

The new school will be dimensioned for 400 students. In addition, there will be plans for teacher work spaces, rooms for the school nurse and mental health counselor, staff rooms, meeting and group rooms, and changing rooms. The project also includes the creation of a new outdoor area where the current school is located. The primary school is located near the sea and is part of a contiguous area with public buildings (secondary school) and recreational areas (athletic field). The primary school is well positioned in relation to the surrounding residential areas, and the interaction with the recently renovated Alstad secondary school provides many positive opportunities for shared use, feelings of security, and social environment for both students and staff at the schools. The proximity to the sea and the southwest-facing outdoor area are important and popular for many in the area, and also highlight the potential for multiple uses. 3RW arkitekter + Nord architects has carried out extensive user participation in the programming phase.
