Villa Østensen

The most valuable space is the open ground floor under the roof where the kids are playing, the car is parked and the parties are held

Embedded in a green, idyllic landscape the single-family house is an example of the densification process the suburbia of Bergen is part of. The original site was divided in two so the family could live close to grandparents and have daily contact.

The two floor splits give room for terrace on the second floor and covered space for parking on the ground floor. This covered space is an added value in the wet coastal area. Here the kids are playing, the car is parked and the parties are held.
