This coming Monday 7 May, 3RW partner Håkon Rasmussen will join politicians, academics, experts and the public for an open debate on the future of Oslo’s Government Quarter at the Litteraturhuset in Oslo. He will participate as part of the expert panel. This is an event organised by the Oslo Architectural Association (OAF) and the Architecture and Design College in Oslo (AHO).
According to the Jeløyaerklæringen, the Norwegian government is going to “assess a gradual and scaled-down development of a new government quarter”. What does it mean? What possibilities exist for improving existing proposals? How to safeguard the need for security and the need for openness and living city life?
